Nancy H. Boozer, CPA

Nancy H. Boozer is a native of Lexington, South Carolina and resides in Columbia with her husband Dale. They have three children.

Nancy held various offices and chairmanships in The Junior Woman's Club of Columbia, including President and General Chairman of Red Stockings Revue. She is a charter member of Palmetto Woman's Club and served as its first president.

Nancy has served the General Federation of Women's Clubs of South Carolina as various Division and Department Chairmen since 1974 when she served as Junior Arts Department Chairman. She was elected Director of Junior Clubs for 1980-82, Treasurer of GFWC-SC in 1986 and has held all other offices, including service as President from 1992-1994. She is currently Parliamentarian for GFWC-SC. She represented GFWC-SC on the Board of Directors of Advocates for Women on Boards and Commissions and as a member of the Board of Governors of South Carolina Leadership Seminar, Inc. (HOBY) from 1992 - 1994.

Nancy served as a member of the Board of Directors of the General Federation of Women's Clubs from 1980 - 1986, 1992-1994, including service on the Junior Executive Committee and as Family Living Division Chairman, and is currently an International Hostess, serving in this capacity for the second administration. She served on the speaker's committee for the Advocates on Boards and Commissions, promoting the organization and encouraging women to seek appointment/election to boards and commissions in their communities and at the statewide level. She is currently the Treasurer of the S C Advocates for Women on Boards and Commissions.

In 1996 Nancy was nominated by the Forest Acres/Five Points Area Council of the Greater Columbia Chamber of Commerce for the Athena award.

She is currently serving on the Capital Campaign Committee for The Children's Center of South Carolina, to raise $l.8 million for a new emergency shelter for abused children.

A Certified Public Accountant, Nancy holds two B.S. degrees from the University of South Carolina, and was employed by a local accounting firm in Columbia from 1987 until February 1998. In February 1998 she opened her own practice on Trenholm Road in Columbia.

She is a member of the South Carolina Association of Certified Public Accountants and served on its Quality Review Committee.

Nancy was appointed to the Tax Forms Committee of American Institute of Certified Public Accountants in the fall of 1995 and has worked on improving IRS forms and publications since that time.

She is currently Chairman of the Program Committee of the South Carolina Chapter of the International Association of Financial Planners.

She has served as Chairman of the Richland County Residential Crusade for the American Cancer Society and as Chairman of the First Lady Fashion Show for two years.

She was instrumental in the organization of Midlands Home and Emergency Fund for Abused, Abandoned and Neglected Children and has served as its Treasurer since 1980.

She is involved with numerous other community organizations and is an active member of the Lutheran Church of the Incarnation where she is a member of the chancel choir and is serving on the church council and as Secretary and is financial secretary of the Child Development Committee.

Nancy is an active member of the General Federation of Women's Clubs of South Carolina as a member of The Junior Woman's Club of Columbia and Palmetto Woman's Club.
